The Freemasons of Bloomer Masonic Lodge No. 281 recently donated a Fire Suppression Tool (FST) to the Bloomer Fire Department. These FSTs are literal lifesaving devices – able to greatly suppress or even fully extinguish a burning structure within 30-60 seconds after deployment.

The fire department was very appreciative to receive this FST gift from the Lodge. These Fire Suppression Tools are especially important to small town and rural firefighting teams as it often takes longer to respond an emergency call because of the distance from the fire house. An FST, however, can fit in the trunk of the smaller emergency vehicles that typically arrive first on the scene. These devices can be deployed inside the burning building and help make the enflamed structure safer to enter and quicker to extinguish, saving lives and property.

Bloomer Masonic Lodge is incredibly active in their community. This blog posted earlier this month that Bloomer Masonic Lodge had donated $10,500 to their community, benefitting several organizations, students, and charities in the Bloomer and New Auburn area.
