Lodi Valley Freemasons Present FSTs, Donation to Local Fire Departments

Lodi Valley Masonic Lodge No. 99 donated Fire Suppression Devices (FSTs) obtained through Wisconsin Masonic Foundation’s “Acts of Kindness” program to the Lodi and Dane Fire Departments last month. These were the third and fourth FSTs the Lodi Freemasons has presented this year, the first two going to the Black Earth and Mazomanie fire departments.

Pictured above, Lodi Valley Master Roger Haarklau and Brothers Karl Markgraf, Seth Markgraf and Michael Thumm journeyed to Dane to present Fire Chief Denman Breunig and his department with another FST.

The Lodi Valley Masonic Lodge also made a $1000 donation to the Lodi Fire Department, which is having a fundraiser to purchase a new rope rescue device. These devices are employed when lifting is required. The department’s current apparatus has a 300 pound capacity; the one they have their eye on is rated for 9000 pounds.

Lodge Brethren gathered to present the check and FST to the Lodi Fire Department. From left: Brothers Michael Thumm, Ken Dixon, Karl Markgraf, Seth Markgraf; and Assistant Lodi Fire Chief Jeff Gort, Lodi Valley Master Roger Haarklau; and Brothers Dale Reeve, Joe Reeve and Greg Flanagan.
