Brother Dave Rambow — who is also the Director of H.H. Bennett Studio — was reviewing old Lodge minute books from Dells Freemasons Lodge and found information about Brother George H. Houghton, a Civil War photographer and uncle to local legend H.H. Bennett. George Houghton was a Mason and is buried in Wisconsin Dells Spring Grove cemetery.
Brother Rambow discovered that he doesn’t have a grave marker. With $500 matching funds from Grand Lodge, along with the Dells Lodge $500 donation, the Brothers will help purchase a grave marker for our fallen Brother. A dedication ceremony is being planned for July 27, 2024.
