Burlington Lodge Celebrates 175th Anniversary

By Grand Orator Jan F. Talaga, PM

Saturday, September 21st, was a beautiful day to celebrate 175 years of Freemasonry at Burlington Lodge (No. 28) in Burlington, Wisconsin. The full day of festivities started with Lodge tours and an open house, followed by a public reconsecration ceremony, and a brief history of the Lodge by Master Matthew Kaye. We were honored to receive a Citation from the Wisconsin State Assembly and a Proclamation by Governor Tony Evers honoring the Lodge’s impact on the community.

Following the ceremony and closing of the Lodge, those who attended were treated to a prime rib and chicken marsala dinner prepared by our very own Brothers Jim Jante and Greg Bieniewski. Entertainment for the night was none other than musician Don Wiggins. We also took this time to announce and honor our Mason of the Year, Brother Bryan Scott and our Citizen of the Year, John Maltby.

Master Matthew Kaye honors Brother Bryan Scott as Burlington Lodge’s Mason of the Year.

The success of our Lodge is due to dedicated Brothers and a community that has continued to support our endeavors to grow our fraternity and strengthen our presence throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. On behalf of the officers and Brothers of Burlington Lodge, thank you to all of you for your support!
