Freemasons from Clear Lake Lodge (No. 230) recently contributed $500 to assist with medical expenses of Sloan Picknell.
Sloan was born March 29, 2024 and underwent a seven hour high risk surgery on April 1, 2024 for removal of a sacrococcygeal teratoma. The teratoma measured 27×16.7×5.8cm weighing just over 5 pounds. Sloan was in the NICU in Rochester recovering and growing for 47 days, since she was premature. Though she’s made a great recovery, she will have lifelong follow ups watching her tumor markers to ensure no cancerous cells form.
