The 4th annual brat/hot dog stand on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend exceeded all expectations this year! Profits were matched by the Acts of Kindness and netted a check for Curtie Cares for $4000!
The funds were presented at September 26th meeting to Curt Harrison, who graciously accepted them on behalf of all who benefit from Curtie Cares, Inc., Curtie Cares is a 501(c)3 non profit organization officially granted the status on May 30, 2019. They are 5 years old this year and have done 1000+ rides at no cost, only accepting donations. They would close down if it was not for acts of kindness such as this.
Their focus is the folks who have no means to get anywhere for whatever reason and have no other options, i.e. friends, relatives, etc. Their volunteer drivers and Brother Curt Harrison receive no monetary compensation, only the satisfaction of helping others, which as a Mason you understand.
During COVID, they also started delivering for the food pantry in Bloomer, it varies from one to five households during the 52 weeks a year. Please visit the website www.curtiecares.org to learn more about their tremendous operation!
