A call from the Rice Lake Chamber of Commerce went out in 2024 for financial assistance to repair the “Service Organization” signs welcoming people as they enter the city limits on the North Hwy. 48 (now completed and pictured above) and West Hwy. 48 (currently still in repair) entrances to the city. Both signs were in severe disrepair and needed help.
The Brothers of Blue Hills Masonic Lodge discussed the need for assistance at a stated communication. After some discussion it was approved to assist with the repair with the donation on $300 with matching funds from the Acts of Kindness program. The signs have been restored or replaced with the help of $600 to showcase each of the city’s service organizations.
