Rice Lake Lodge supports school bowling teams

Freemasons from Blue Hills Lodge in Rice Lake — along with matching funds from the Wisconsin Masonic Foundation’s “Acts of Kindness” program — recently supported the Rice Lake High School and Middle School Bowling Teams.

While bowling is a Wisconsin High School Sport, it is not recognized yet as a sanctioned team sport in the conference. As a result, they do not receive funding for uniforms, hotel, travel or registration fees from the school district like traditional sports do.

The Brothers of Blue Hills Lodge recognized this may create a hardship for some of the team members and wanted to contribute to their success. Through the matching funds program, the Lodge was able to raise $400 to donate to the team and their financial needs.
