We build our future!
With the first pick in the NFL Draft, the Green Bay Packers select….
And with the commissioner’s announcement from a 3×5 notecard, lives and franchise futures all change. For Packers fans, this year it brings new hope and energy while breaking a 20+ year draught of 1st round wide receivers. Can’t wait for the season!
For new members embarking on their Masonic journey, the process has some similarities. When we sign petitions, we are selecting and vouching for a new brother with the hope they will strengthen the lodge’s foundation, bringing new energy and perspectives. In the NFL Draft, a player is selected, marking the start of a new chapter where they join a team, learn its culture, and grow into their role through mentorship and discipline. Similarly, our new brothers are initiated, beginning their journey within the brotherhood. They absorb our Masonic teachings, values, and traditions often through guidance from experienced mentors. Both involve a commitment to growth, a sense of belonging to a larger purpose, and the gradual building of character. I hope new brothers feel the same sense of excitement as they move through our degrees.
It has been a busy month for WI Freemasonry! We brought back the Secretaries Conference, held our initial MasoniCon in Eau Claire, and laid a cornerstone for the expansion at the beautiful Three Pillars campus. Our leadership team is also fresh off our quarterly full team meeting in Eau Claire. We spent another beautiful day serving the local community in partnership with local lodges, proudly wearing our WI Freemasonry shirts and continuing to publicly show our values. It was an honor to spend the evening celebrating with the newest Scottish Rite class in the Valley of Eau Claire. It’s clear the family of Freemasonry offers something unique for each member’s personal Masonic journey, fostering bonds that strengthen our brotherhood.
As the leadership team and office staff build toward our next Annual Communication, I can tell you we can’t wait to see everyone in Madison. To the officers and delegates that make up the Grand Lodge of WI, come build the future of Freemasonry in WI. To our brothers across the state thinking about making the trip, this is the year to do it! The Wisconsin Masonic Foundation will celebrate 100 years of strengthening our communities through Masonic charity with an unprecedented Gala event. Register today, you won’t want to miss it.
Our charities, appendant bodies and blue lodges all truly rise together. Let’s keep building the future of Freemasonry with the same dedication the Packers show in building their team—united in purpose, service, and brotherhood!
