Grand Master Thomas W. Stevens declared the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons open for the purpose of dedicating the cornerstone of the Welcome Center at its active adult community – The Fields At Three Pillars on April 12. Pictured above, Board of Directors Chair, Bill Huelsman, addresses the crowd, bringing them up to date on the progress of the Fields.

Deputy Grand Master Jeffrey S. Schoenfeldt finding the cornerstone to be square; Grand Secretary Michael A. DeWolf, PGM, finding the stone to be level; and Junior Grand Steward Michael A. Burnham finding the stone to be plumb, Grand Master Stevens declared the stone to be well formed, true and trusty, and correctly laid, according to the rules of our ancient craft.

The elements of consecration, corn, wine and oil emblematic of plenty, joy and peace, were presented.

Junior Grand Steward Michael A. Burnham scatters the corn of plenty.

In closing Grand Master Stevens stated, “The Fields is a milestone that resonates deeply with our community and the enduring legacy of Freemasonry in Wisconsin. Certainly a crown jewel of what we do here as far as Masonic charities are concerned.”

Over 120 people attended the dedication of the cornerstone, many of which will be calling The Fields at Three Pillars their home.
Project Manager David Pottrock and Forman John Moss lay the stone.
