Valley of Milwaukee Puts on Their Dancing Shoes!

On Saturday, March 29, 2025, the Valley of Milwaukee Scottish Rite hosted its third annual Big Band Swing Dance, delighting members and guests with an evening of music, dancing, and camaraderie. This year’s event, themed “Swing Into Spring,” took place at the elegant Tuscan Hall in Waukesha, a venue known for its vaulted ceilings, sparkling chandeliers, and warm, inviting atmosphere—an ideal backdrop for a night of celebration and fellowship.

The evening’s soundtrack was once again provided by the acclaimed DB Orchestra, a talented ensemble of UW Madison students. Renowned for their unique blend of doo-wop harmonies, the energy of a marching band, and the sophisticated 昀air of classic jazz ensembles, the DB Orchestra kept the dance 昀oor lively and spirits high throughout the night.

More than 100 attendees—including Valley members, local Masonic Lodge members, and their guests—enjoyed hours of swing dancing, delicious hors d’oeuvres, and festive beverages. The new setting at Tuscan Hall elevated the experience, offering both ample space and a touch of timeless elegance that perfectly complemented the event’s big band theme.

A heartfelt thank you goes to the dedicated Swing Dance Committee: Illustrious Brother Gary Beier, 33°, Lowein Bystrom III, Rod LeFlore, and Mike Palmisano, whose efforts ensured a memorable evening for all. Special recognition is also due to our Flagship Sponsor, Ewald Automotive Group, and Illustrious Brother Tom Ewald, 33°, for their generous support.

We also extend our gratitude to the following Lodges, Masonic groups, and Brothers for their sponsorship through the purchase of Sponsors’ Tables: Day Lite Lodge #358 (two tables), Freemasons Lodge #363, Red Cross of Constantine, Brother Lowein Bystrom, Brother Mike Consiglio, and Brother Ken Redlin.

Building on this year’s success, the incoming Executive Committee is already planning to bring this signature event back in March 2026. Enjoy the photos from this year’s festivities, and mark your calendars—we look forward to seeing everyone on the dance 昀oor again next spring!
