Freemasons from Glenn L Humphrey Lodge hosted a Veterans Day program for veterans and residents at Three Pillars Senior Living Communities, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the end of World War Two.
The 30-minute event began with a prelude of patriotic music performed by Lea Boyd, a volunteer at Three Pillars. Brother Dick Mitchell presented the Colors prior to the Pledge of Allegiance. Brother Steve Winters, Chaplain, provided both the Invocation and Benediction. Brother Don Haas recited a veteran’s prayer, and Brother Bill Wells presented a letter from a World War Two veteran. Brother Al Kunz acknowledged all 63 veterans residing on campus. Brother Ed Cooke delivered the main message honoring veterans.
The Three Pillars Singing Ambassador Choral Group performed “Let Freedom Ring” and “I Love America.” The program concluded with Rebecca Seevers, another volunteer, performing taps on the trumpet.
All veterans and residents in attendance were subsequently invited to a social gathering. Veterans received gift bags in recognition of their service; those unable to attend had gift bags personally delivered by Brothers Cooke and Bunting. Pictured above, Past Grand Master Robert E.
