Eau Claire Masonic Lodge No. 112 and Chippewa Falls Masonic Lodge No. 176 joined together to put on a batched Entered Apprentice Degree, with four new Brothers starting their journey in Freemasonry on October 28.
Four candidates from two Lodges was unusual in itself, but the degree work was also very unique in that three different Holy Writings were displayed on the altar at the same time. Two candidates were obligated on the Christian Bible, while one each used the Islamic Koran and the Essential Buddhadhamma of Theravada Buddhism.

Participating in and present for the degree were, pictured above, front row from left: Josh Eddy, Senior Grand Warden Earl Gunderson; Brent Mansour, EA Eau Claire 112; John Akar, EA Eau Claire 112; Jay Gebert, conferring Master; Simon Scroggins, EA Chippewa Falls 176; Nic Wu, EA Eau Claire 112; Alan Case; and Steve Klein. Second row: Eric Gwiazda, Brian Chaput, Gunder Muller, DR Pete Sterzinger, Greg Swoboda, Steve Lasure and Dustin Larson. Back row: David, Vincent, Mike Abernathy, District Lecturer Les Paulson, Matt Chromey, Nick Koerner, Fletcher Smith and Lyle Koerner.
