The spirit of the holiday season was alive and well at the District 1 Christmas Party, held on December 15 at the picturesque Deer Lake Lodge in Iron River. Hosted by District 1 Deputy Danny Bourassa, the event brought together a joyful gathering of Brothers and their ladies for an evening of camaraderie, fine dining, and Masonic Brotherhood.

Among the distinguished attendees were five Grand Lodge Officers, including Past Grand Masters JB Van Hollen and L. Arby Humphrey.

The current Grand Master Masons in of Wisconsin, Jeff Schoenfeldt, was also present, along with Right Worshipful Deputy Grand Master Joseph Thompson, Right Worshipful Senior Grand Warden Earl Gunderson and Senior Grand Deacon George Eisenmann, III. Their participation added a special layer of honor and tradition to the festivities.

Guests enjoyed an excellent meal, but it was the company of so many wonderful people that truly made the night memorable. Laughter and heartfelt conversations filled the air, reinforcing the bonds that unite the Masonic community.

A highlight of the evening was Grand Master Schoenfeldt presenting Brother Richard “Ike” Eisenmann with his Past Master’s certificate. This well-deserved recognition celebrated Brother Eisenmann’s dedication and service to the fraternity, inspiring all in attendance.

Events like this remind us of the enduring values of Freemasonry—friendship, respect, and shared purpose. District 1 looks forward to many more gatherings in the new year.
