The Gilman Rural Fire Department held their 3rd Annual Pancake fund raiser at the Gilman Community Center on March 21. Funds are being raised to purchase ice water rescue equipment. According to the Fire Chief Brian Welsh and the Assistant Fire Chief Derrick Romig they have 33 members.
The Brothers of the Ladysmith Freemasons Lodge No. 280 were present to donate a Fire Suppression Tool (FST) to the department. Lodges in Wisconsin are committed through their joint efforts with the Wisconsin Masonic Foundation to donate FSTs to our Wisconsin First Responders, including law enforcement, EMT’s and fire departments.
Pictured above, Master Bob Grunseth presents the FST to Fire Chief Brian Welsh, center. On the far right is Brother Bill Howard, Secretary/Treasurer.
