35,000 Eggs Scattered at Shawano Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Shawano Area Masons hosted their Annual Easter Egg Hunt for the community. 35,000 eggs were spread across the Shawano United Methodist Church’s nine acre campus.

Approximately 1500 people total endured the cool temperatures and waited patiently for their turn at seeing the Easter Bunny and the collecting of eggs. Grand Master Jeffrey S. Schoenfeldt made his 180th appearance visiting our event.

The Masons gave out free hotdogs and Sun Drop to all kids as well as over 1000 special prizes for the kids. While the kids waited, they had opportunities to get tattoos, visit with Beja Shriners and pet live animals from the N.E.W. Zoo. The Shawano Sheriff made special deputies out of the many children.

Thousands of eggs were waiting for the kids.

Many thanks to all who attended, and to the many volunteers and donors that make this event possible.
