Tomah Freemasons hold Wild Game Feed

By Brother Todd Wohlert

Tomah Freemasons Lodge (No. 132) held their annual wild game feed Saturday night April 18. Over 60 people from the community came to the Lodge and enjoyed this exotic meal. This was a fundraiser to support their high school scholarship program, it raised $1500 that night.

The menu included cheese and crackers with trout spread and venison bologna, bear BBQ, venison, elk meatballs, venison hash, moose wontons, turkey bake, turkey risotto, and fried Bluegill and Crappie plus a regular meatloaf made from beef, pork, and bacon.

The event and the raffle was hosted by Brother Scott Marshaus with Tomah Brothers helping in the kitchen and the dining room. It was a fantastic meal with many people going back for seconds and some asking for carryout containers.

This community event began in 2002 – and now is a community tradition.
