In April, members of Glenn L Humphrey Lodge visited the Lad Lake facility to present a donation to purchase 10 trail bikes for the student residents. Half of the money came from the Act of Kindness program through the Wisconsin Masonic Foundation. During the visit, Master Larry Nines invited Lad Lake to attend the Lodge’s May Stated Meeting with a few students and bikes so lodge members could see how their donations were being used.
Lad Lake serves more than 1,100 children and youth each year, providing the care, stability, and trauma-informed support they need to heal, grow, and reach their potential. The donation of 10 trail bikes helps advance that mission.
At the May 12 Stated Meeting, we welcomed guests from Lad Lake before the meeting opened. Donell Hauser, Lad Lake’s President and CEO, opened by thanking lodge members for their generous donation. Other Lad Lake staff spoke about the bike program and what it means to the students. The two students in attendance also thanked us for the gift and shared how much they enjoy riding the trails across the 200-acre property.
