Hartford Freemasons donate AED to St. Aidan’s Church

This project started last year when Hartford Masonic Lodge (No. 120) found out there was a need for a new AED device at a local church, St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church, in Hartford. The AED they had was older and the battery for it was no longer available from the vendor.

Master Chris Weed, proposed that the Lodge Brothers look into donating an AED to St. Aidan’s. Lodge members then voted on and approved the proposal. The AED was received in early April.

Brother Brian Graff was then able to coordinate with Aurora Medical Center’s community outreach program to have someone come in to do training. Alan Davies is the Emergency Service Community Educator RN from that group and has 30 plus years of experience as a nurse. Alan and Brian conducted an informational demonstration on how to use the AED and answered questions on general CPR. A great way to give back to the community!
