La Crosse Freemasons donate $4,000 to local charities

Freemasons from La Crosse Masonic Lodge (No. 190) recently made donations to two La Crosse non-profits that help out local families, thanks, in part, to the Wisconsin Masonic Foundation’s “Acts of Kindness” matching grant program.  WAFER’s mission is to provide food and work to eliminate hunger. WAFER provides 3-4 days worth of groceries to anyone in the greater La Crosse area. WAFER is funded entirely by donations. Frontier-Badger Freemasons donate fourth FST

Brothers from Frontier-Badger Freemasons Lodge No. 45, La Crosse, delivered a Fire Suppression Tool (FST) to the Holmen Area Fire Department on February 1st. This is the fourth FST Frontier- Badger Lodge has donated locally. Just last month, we told you about another of their donations to the French Island Fire Department. From left: Brothers Jerry Larsen, Don Iliff, Jim Kielley and Dan Claussen presenting the FST to Ben Storlie, Mike Lavery, Myranda Antony, Frank Garrow and Chief Ryan Ostreng.

Community Cultural Celebration at La Crosse Masonic Center

The La Crosse Masonic Center hosted a community cultural celebration on February 10th. The La Crosse Area Chinese Association celebrated the Year of the Dragon with musical performances, comedy, dance performances, folk songs, zodiac presentations, and an appearance of a dragon (as pictured above). Over 100 people attended the hour-long show and over 150 attended the following banquet.
