“Thursday Night at the Rite” filmed at Madison Valley 

On January 28, 2024 the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction film crew was at the Wisconsin Masonic Center filming the 20th degree. Cameras, lights, and sound system were brought to the Center from Massachusetts for this professional filming. In all, it took five hours to film the 1 hour and 15 minute degree. The director, James Dill, 33rd, brought a crew of five to complete this incredible event.  Above, Brother Matt Ivens, playing the role of Benedict Arnold, gets his microphone installed.

Fireworks at recent Madison Valley SR Meeting

Past Thrice Potent Master Bob Dolan was in the fireworks business for many years and provided a video and presentation around “How to make a firework” at a recent Madison Valley Scottish Rite Meeting. It was very interesting to see how one of these are put together, including timer fuses and star placement to get varying colors — and knowing that these can be 3 inches in size all the way up to a 48 inch firework!  Bob mentioned how

Children’s Dyslexia Center presents to Madison Valley Scottish Rite

The Children’s Dyslexia Center recently gave a very nice presentation for all the Madison Valley Scottish Rite Brothers. Brigid Ryan is one of the instructors who spoke and gave us a lot of really great information about the Children’s Dyslexia Center (CDC). Amelia Cooper recently graduated from the CDC and gave a very heartfelt and inspiring speech around what the CDC was able to do for her as a student.
