Oconto Freemasons “Stir Up Good” Booyah

Freemasons from Oconto’s Pine Lodge No. 188 Tom Shallow, Gary McMahon, and Mike Werner were assisted by their Ladies Lisa Shallow, Jacqui McMahon, and non-lodge members Laurie and Kelly Irish in making 40 gallons of Booyah for The Other Guys Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club on August 12. Laurie and Kelly assist at many lodge fundraisers.

This was The Other Guys 9th annual fundraiser. Their one day event usually raises over $20,000 and is split between the Child Advocacy Center and The Sexual Assault Center of Wisconsin.

The booyah is given away for free to attendees along with roasted corn and pulled pork sandwiches and live music. The Oconto Masonic Booyah was all consumed (as it has been in past years). The booyah is usually gone after about four hours. The Lodge doesn’t raise any funds in this project, but hopefully their signs and advertising are noticed by others. Assisting this club of law enforcement officers in raising money for such good causes is very important for the good of our communities.
