District 1 Masons recently distributed stuffed animals donated by PetSmart to the Iron River First Responders and Iron River Fire Department. Animals were also provided to the Iron River VFW at Christmas time, giving Santa and his elves a little help during the busy holiday season.
Brother Don Miller and District 1 Deputy Danny L. Bourassa (pictured above with Santa and a lucky stuffed animal recipient) were on hand for assistance.
These donations are in addition to the Brothers dropping off around 60 of the stuffed animals to pediatric department nurses at Essentia Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota and St. Lukes’s Foundation. Those animals will be used for the pediatric department along with other departments including the blood draw for children.
